The education and development project The Wonder of Fur has once more brought together skilful people from different areas. Glamorous designs were created during the workshop ONE STEP A-HEAD. The theme of this workshop was headdresses inspired by historical paintings by different artists. The international team received the assignment to design headgear for MUSA based upon the paintings. According to the assignment, she needed headgear for five different occasions:

"LILY" She goes to the Happy Valley races in Hong Kong.

"ACACIA" Her love from before, Audrey, is marrying the man SHE always coveted, but not to marry.
Consequently, she wants to be the guest of honor at Audrey’s wedding.

"ROSA SUCCINEA" She has been made a Fellow of Cambridge University and
she will be present to receive the honor.
Designer Jackie Hrabok-Leppäjärvi, Arctic Paracitology,
is a teacher and student of Sami Craft, Finland.

"GINGER" In the spring, she will travel to Japan to plant a flowering cherry
blossom tree in honour of all who died in the war.
Designer of the exquisite arctic head dress is Ulla Huhtakangas,
Teacher of Millinery, Finland.

"DAPHNE" Her present lover is taking her on a 100 mile cruise
down the Nile to woo her to marry him.

The mentor of the workshop was Basil Kardasis (Royal College of Art, London).
The collection ONE STEP A-HEAD will present the impressive results at the
leather fair Le Cuir a Paris 9-12 February 2010. The leather used in the
workshop was donated by Oy Ahlskog Leather Ab. Panfur 2000
Oy shaped and colored the furs donated by Finnish Fur breeders.
