The show of 24 February with the very best of Italian ready-to-wear fur on the catwalk
8 Italian brands, 3 international new talents and a Grand Finale sponsored by the NAFA auction house taking to the catwalk in the Italian Fur Fashion Night show, that organized in collaboration with the Associazione Italiana Pellicceria, celebrated the opening of TheOneMilano, the new Milan fashion event dedicated to “haute-à-porter”, with top-quality collections, carefully selected raw materials, and up-to-the-minute know-how.
The 8 brands on the catwalk were all Made in Italy brands and exhibitors at the event: Gianfranco Ferré Furs; Diego M; Fabio Gavazzi; Giorgio Magnani Luxury; Grandifur; Malamatì; Pajaro; and Rindi. The 3 new international talents are the winners of the Remix 2017 Competition, nominated the same evening and who are meeting the companies and the market they want to work with for the first time at TheOneMilano.
The show ended with the Grand Finale in collaboration with the NAFA auction house, which, with the help of the creativity of the eight brands on the catwalk, presented a selection of North American skins, all characterised by top-quality labels to mark what will be a genuine NAFA brand limited collection.
“The aim of a cosmopolitan event like TheOneMilano, with this special 100% Made in Italy fashion show in collaboration with Associazione Italiana Pellicceria, is to emphasise its deep roots and its historic Italian know-how, even though in terms of exhibitors and visitors its spirit is completely international,” says Norberto Albertalli President of TheOneMilano. “We have chosen to devote the catwalk to fur prêt-à-porter because it is an example of the kind of superb Italian quality that the whole world envies us for. The brands on the catwalk provide a snapshot that shows how the world of fashion and the specialist world of fur communicate today: this is the theme of TheOneMilano and the Italian Fur Fashion Night is a wonderful example.”
TheOneMilano is the high-end women’s fur and accessories prêt-à-porter event organised by Ente Fieristico Mifur: with no fewer than 286 brands taking part, it is open to the international public during fashion week with a sound and reliable range of proposals. Legendary names, big brands and new companies will be showcasing their collections for next autumn-winter at fieramilanocity from 24 to 27 February: a comprehensive, highly fashionable event in keeping with the very latest developments in taste and style.
